Tubes

TUBES or THE MOB or COUNTING
I was new at the job
Did not know what to think
Shocked when I saw the mob
Wearing suits dark as ink
Watching the quality
It was truly scary
Counting all live long day
Blood and sweat did I pay
The mob owned my whole soul
Quickly they took a toll
My task was to move tubes
Label as gold or trash
Dealt not with the large cubes
Waiting out for the cash
I thought I would be safe
Not end up like a waif
CHORUS
‘Fore too long, o’er they came
My bones swiftly did break
Surely I would be lame
They tossed me into the lake
Pollution was their care
These green mobs must be rare
CHORUS
I barely made it out
Ne’er to work there again
The mob’s bad news no doubt
Run from dark suited men
I would not be the same
After playing their game
CHORUS (2x)
